The Benefice of Braishfield (the parishes of Awbridge, Braishfield, Farley Chamberlayne, Michelmersh and Timsbury) are excited about deepening their personal faith, developing their worship and working with those on the fringes and beyond for Jesus. To do this, they are looking for a Rector with the vision to help them get there and who will:

    • enjoy growing and supporting their work with schools, young people and families
    • be a team player, encouraging gifts in others
    • be pastorally supportive and caring, welcoming the range of worship styles and the different identities of each church community
    • want to play an active part in village life

The position offers a modern, four-bedroom Rectory, with a large garden overlooking fields in the vibrant village of Braishfield. Located close to Romsey, Winchester and Southampton and set in the beautiful Test Valley, within easy reach of the New Forest. The villages of the Benefice are friendly and active and the area benefits from excellent schools and many useful amenities.

You will be actively supported by their PCCs, churchwardens, Associate Priest (SSM), established Benefice Administrator and friendly congregations, who look forward to working collaboratively with you.

The successful candidate will also be licensed as Priest in Charge of the parish of Somborne with Ashley, where there is a HfD Priest.
