A wonderful opportunity for mission across several rural villages close to Winchester. We are a welcoming benefice with great potential, seeking an engaging and inspiring priest who is able to connect all age groups and lead us in our vision for church to be at the heart of the community.
We are seeking someone who is prayerful and secure in God's Love, able to express that in loving others and ministering to their needs. A good communicator whose preaching is rooted in the gospel. Someone who can present church as appealing and relevant to young families and has an aptitude for motivating and inspiring others to work collaboratively. Is committed to growth and outreach, capable of developing appropriate strategies for both.
We can offer a large 4 bedroomed house overlooking the cricket ground and tennis club, in a beautiful Hampshire village. Close to good primary and secondary schools and local amenities, with good bus and rail links to surrounding towns and London.
For an informal conversation, please contact The Ven Richard Brand, Archdeacon of Winchester on 01962 710960

Christ Church is an eclectic and parochial church centrally located in Winchester with a membership of around 800 and a large staff team. We are truly multi-generational with a strong profile of young families and students and an increasing number of seniors.
Our vision is to become more like Jesus through a deep love for His Word and Spirit, strengthened by a sense of community and belonging, built up, equipped and released to serve God in our city, nation and the wider world.
As a designated Resource church, we are committed to the visionary aims of the Winchester diocese and are strategically important in helping to support and deliver them - we are at the start of this journey.
We are looking for a new vicar who is an inspiring, dynamic, and strategic leader, who will sharpen and implement our vision and shape Christ Church to respond to the changing needs of our city, diocese and beyond. You will find a loyal and generous congregation, many of whom volunteer, and a dedicated staff team who are ready to respond to your leadership.
Our new vicar will need to be:
Firmly rooted in and a preacher of God's Word
Led and inspired by the Holy Spirit
A confident, strategic and discerning leader
A community builder and pastorally sensitive
Able to train, equip and send out
An excellent communicator
