This week is Loneliness Awareness Week and Winchester Cathedral has a number of ways in which we can help people who are lonely.

Some come to the Cathedral to reflect and find themselves talking to one of our volunteers or a Visitor Chaplain – it is also possible to book a time to see someone through the Cathedral Office. Although there is a tourist charge to visit the Cathedral, there is no charge to pray or reflect, please just make this known at the Entrance Desk.

All are welcome to services, and our style of worship is such that you can be as involved or anonymous as you like.

Some even find themselves volunteering in one of the many roles which are available – volunteering can not only be rewarding but a social experience and many of our teams have social activities outside their volunteering hours.

We also run Tea at Three at which, for the price of £2.50, offers tea and homemade scones. All are welcome and there is no need to book.

Dates of Tea at Three are: 22nd July, 16th September, 21st October, 18th November.

Details of all of the above can be found on our website: www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk or on 01962 857200.
