Welcome to Benefice of the Future

    20 March 2019

Welcome to the new Benefice of the Future (fondly known as BoF) blog, launching today, exactly one year into our four-year project. As we partner with our rural Mission Communities, Benefice of the Future aims to do three things:

    1. Increase capacity for mission
    2. Develop sustainable uses of church buildings in partnership with local communities
    3. Share our learning with others so all can benefit from the project’s resources

Our new blog (and other channels) is all about that third aim. As we journey with Mission Communities who are exploring how to use their church buildings to grow in prayer, make new disciples and serve the people of the Diocese of Winchester with joy, we want to share our experiences with you. We also want to introduce you to people, both as individuals and as organisations, who are part of what God is already doing in their churches and communities and are helping our rural churches to flourish.

Between blogs, you can keep in touch with us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram (@CofEWinchester) and on our webpages. Wherever you find us, you will see our Winchester Mission Action Logo. Out logo helps us to remember that whatever we are doing, from facilitating a community meeting to developing a social enterprise, at our core we are seeking to grow in prayer, make new disciples, serve the people of the Diocese of Winchester and live the mission of Jesus.
