Following the death of Billy Graham, the Right Reverend Tim Dakin, Bishop of Winchester, said:

“We note with sadness that Billy Graham died on Wednesday, but we remember his own words about the significance of the event of his death, and the way it points to the heart of the Gospel:

“Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.”

“We remember his family and we give thanks to God for his extraordinary worldwide ministry. Many today will be grieving, but also be giving thanks to God for Billy Graham’s life and ministry.”
