Day Two of Diocesan Synod Conference 2016[/caption]

Following a full first day the delegates slept well and were ready for more! +Jonathan presided at The Eucharist at 7.45am with a crowded chapel and Marion de Quidt began her thought provoking homily singing a song about tiny things. Then to cooked breakfast - yum. +Graham Cray encouraged the Synod to reimagine the church with principled improvisation. Next up with entrepreneurial spirit came Revd Dr Michael Volland inspiring us with tales of his young son.

Onto the stage reappeared the charismatic duo to talk us thorough the next part of the Archdeaconry Mission Action Plans - fresh expressions and the rural benefice of the future. Discussions took place and results were captured by the administratively able Jo Waller. We all then engaged in lively workshops throughout the afternoon. A well earned supper awaited and the day ended as yesterday with a peaceful reflective Compline.

Rev Andrew Micklefield, Chair of the House of Clergy
