BCM is a lay training programme focused on enabling church members to live missionally in every part of their lives, equipping them to live out their vocation to the full.It is not an academic training programme, instead through participating in the programme, we believe God will shape you for your place in his mission. If you successfully met the programme requirements, you will be commissioned by the Bishop of Winchester at the annual Lay Ministries Service at Winchester Cathedral for a BCM role within your benefice as agreed between you and your incumbent.
- BCM Worship: This is for those who have a desire to lead God’s people into God’s presence. The training will cover the core skills required to lead worship in your church/community and on completion carries an authorisation to lead non eucharistic worship more than once a quarter.
Training Dates are :
- 11th September 9.30am - 12.30pm, in person at St Barnabas, Weeke, Winchester.
- Six sessions on Wednesday evenings 7pm - 8.30pm on 22nd September, 6th and 20th October, 3rd and 17th Novermber and 1st December, all online EXCEPT 20th October which will be in person at Wolvesey.
- Final session in person at Wolvesey Winchester, Saturday 4th December 9.30am - 12.30pm.
