Bishop of Winchester's Lent Lectures 2019


This year’s lectures will be held on Wednesday 10 April, 2019, at Christ Church Winchester.

The Spirit and the Kingdom of God

As in 2018, we are providing an additional, stand-alone session in the evening for those unable to attend during the day.

Lucy Peppiatt is Principal of the Westminster Theological Centre and a Licensed Lay Minister in the Church of England. She has bachelor’s degrees in both English and Theology. She completed her MA in Systematic Theology at King’s College, London, and her PhD through the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand.

Lucy’s research interests are Christ and the Spirit, Charismatic theology, discipleship, and 1 Corinthians. She and her husband, Nick Crawley, lead Crossnet Anglican Church in Bristol. They have four sons. Wipf and Stock have published three of her books: Unveiling Paul’s Women: Making Sense of 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 (2018), Women and Worship at Corinth: Paul’s Rhetorical Arguments in 1 Corinthians (2015) and The Disciple: On Becoming Truly Human (2012).”
