Event Description

The day will be led by Brother Stuart who is a member of the Order of St Benedict at Mucknell Abbey. After ordination in 1969 he served in a number of appointments in the former Ripon Diocese, before moving south to test his vocation as a monk at Burford Priory. During his time as abbot, the community converted a derelict Mucknell Farm in Worcestershire into a ‘sustainable’ monastery and moved there in 2010. He has been involved in spiritual accompaniment for over 50 years.

During the day he will attempt to share something of the wisdom of St Benedict in the guiding of twenty first century people in the Christian way of life and ‘giving them a taste for the things of God.’

The day is free for those on the diocesan spiritual director’s register. For members of the spirituality network, the cost of £10 contributes towards refreshments and a light lunch. If you would like to book your place, please contact wendy.atkinson@winchester.anglican.org. A further network day is being planned for spring 2023.
