Project Booklets and Resources

Project Booklets and Resources

All the materials you need to participate in our annual projects for schools. This includes project booklets and associated resources. This year’s annual schools project is Everyday Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is an African philosophy often translated as ‘I am because we are’ or ‘humanity toward others.’ It is a belief in the universal bonds that connect all people – “a person is a person because of, or through, others”.

For pupils Ubuntu is best explained as believing that we are all connected. No matter where we are from, what we like to do, or who we are, a person is a person through their connection with other people. Almost everything that we do affects other people. By learning and thinking about Ubuntu we can celebrate friendship and kindness and the many ways in which are all one.

This page contains a link to all the project booklets and resources needed for this project (and for previous projects too). This year, resources are available to support learning and teaching from EYFS to KS3, including collective worship, RE, PSHE, science, art and music, in addition, a drumming video that has been prepared to help Year 6 pupils from across Winchester and Portsmouth dioceses to prepare for the Leavers’ Service in July 2023.
