CEMES SOUTHAMPTON // Exploring Your Vocation
CEMES Southampton is looking for four young adults (aged 18-30) who are excited about the opportunity to explore their sense of calling and vocation – through a year volunteering as Leadership Assistants with a diverse group of churches in Southampton.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore parish ministry, pioneer mission, church leadership, community engagement, fresh expressions of church, and your own sense of vocation within a range of exciting and enabling contexts. As Leadership Assistants, you’ll receive weekly theological training (through St Mellitus college), plus full accommodation and living allowances. Attached to a local parish, you’ll be supported by your parish team and the CEMES coordinators, as well as gathering regularly for prayer and reflection with your training cohort.
CEMES Southampton is a new programme supported by the national ‘Church of England Ministry Experience Scheme’, as well as Winchester Diocese and Southampton Deanery – and is completely FREE to join. If you’re excited about discovering more about God’s call on your life, developing your gifts and skills, sharing your faith with others, serving the local church, exploring pioneer ministry, and learning more about the mission of Jesus and the part you are called to play – then get in touch at
