Stewardship
Stewardship is at the very core of our being as Christians, it is part of our Christian DNA. We know that the world’s resources are not ours to have or hang on to because God created the world, the universe and everything, and so He shares his creation with us as his stewards. As we ponder the beauty of God’s creation we are filled with awe, and we say that only a God who loves could share with us such riches. And yet, as Christians we want to say more than this, because the greatest of all of His gifts is His love. ‘We love because he first loved us’ (1 John 4:19), and the way we thank Him is to share His love, not out of a sense of obligation but because love and gratitude are indivisible.
The work which Jesus has entrusted to us, His disciples, is to share His love. Discipleship and stewardship are indivisible, for both are about sharing His love. So we are never alone on our stewardship journey. As Christians, we share our time, talents, and money, both as individuals and as the Community of God, because together, serving and giving are what God wants us to do. We know this because it is what Jesus did. When we make our gift to God in thanksgiving, we share His love, and we affirm, whatever our doubts and fears, that ‘all things work together for good for those who love God’ (Romans 8:28).

Generosity is at the heart of our faith, we believe in a generous God and our own generosity is a testament and hallmark of our faith in action.
