Child protection
Both nationally and at diocesan level, the Church of England has undertaken a great deal of work to ensure that the Church is a safe place for children and young people, where their growth and development is nurtured.
The Diocese of Winchester accepts the House of Bishops' Policy on Child Protection and is continually working to implement this and ensure good practice in all our parishes.
The Diocesan Office offers a range of services to incumbents, children’s and youth workers, child protection officers and individuals within a parish. Advice and briefing notes on the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) can also be provided.
