Our Community
What is our community? The answer is the same one Jesus gave to those who asked: who is my neighbour?
Our community is the people around us, with whom we work and live. Our community are those who need our help, who are in trouble, the people Jesus lived with, helped, and saved by his death. Our community is the world . Everywhere we can reach out and help, where we can make a postiive difference in someone's life, is the place we want to be, because God is also there. Through us, in us, he helps us help our neighbours, close or far.
This section of our website shows how we in the Diocese of Winchester are striving to live in Christ as he has shown us and told us. With love, we seek to be a good neighbour, a loving friend, a sister or brother, to those who are often forgotten, often neglected, often suffering.
Just as Jesus took practical steps to heal, to feed, to succor, we too organise ourselves to make sure our help is relevant, timely, and as effective as we can.
We hope you will find our activities of interest and we welcome you to join us in our work.
