The Diocese of Winchester is very sorry to learn of the death of Andrew Johnson, the Diocesan Registrar. Andrew was Registrar in the Diocese since 2010, as well as Registrar in the Diocese of Salisbury since 1997.
The Right Reverend Tim Dakin, Bishop of Winchester, said:
“It was with great sadness that I learnt of the sudden death of Andrew this morning. He was a friend and a crucial colleague, always positive and creative in his approach. Over the last five years he gave great service to our Diocese, and as Bishop I have always been grateful for his advice. I will miss him greatly.
“Please pray for Andrew’s wife Sally, his daughters, Rebecca and Catriona, and the rest of his family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.”
Andrew’s funeral will take place on Friday 20 February 2015, 12noon at St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Fordingbridge, SP6 1BE.
