The Andover Street Pastors this week celebrated more than five years of holding late night patrols to help keep Andover’s streets safe and happy. At a special anniversary service on Wednesday night, they were joined by the founder of Street Pastors, Rev Les Isaac OBE, to recognise their years of neighbourhood outreach and to commission new Street Pastor volunteers to go out into the community.
Winchester Cathedral chosen as one of six national Beacons to celebrate ‘great wave of prayer’ across the country
On Pentecost Sunday, 15th May, more than 3,000 young people will join together for an evening of prayer and worship at Winchester Cathedral as one of six Beacon Events taking place across the country.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Myanmar following the earthquake which occurred in the region yesterday. The Diocese of Winchester has a longstanding partnership with the Province of Myanmar and we are already engaged with the development work following the flooding last year. I have sent a message to Archbishop Stephen assuring him of our continued support.”
