Winchester Cathedral Learning Centre
You are warmly invited to an afternoon of tea, networking and practical help at the new Learning Centre, 10A The Close, Winchester Cathedral on Saturday September 19, at 2pm.
Former journalists and TV presenters Debbie Thrower and Bruce Parker will host the event to say ‘thank you’ to all those involved in, what Bruce describes as, “the often relentless, and sometimes thankless, task of parish communications!”
So whether you’re feeling lumbered with a job no-one else will do or you want to sharpen up your skills among others engaged in similar roles, there’s encouragement to be had. Author of ‘100 Ways to Get Your Church Noticed,’ Neil Pugmire, Communications Adviser for the Portsmouth Diocese, and journalist, Revd Nicky Davies, Publications Officer for the Diocese of Exeter, will jointly run a workshop giving tips on content, design, production and distribution.
There’ll be an opportunity to swap ideas, to learn, and ask questions. The afternoon will culminate in worship at 5.30pm Choral Evensong, led by the choir which is an integral part of the cathedral’s mission ‘to discover and live out the beauty of holiness.’
Sorry, but this form is no longer accepting submissions.
