St Paul's Bursledon
It has been a few years since we have offered a training day for parish treasurers, so we would like to invite you to attend our Treasurers Training Day at St Paul’s, Bursledon on Saturday 19 November.
The day will include a series of presentations, workshops and group discussions to explore the role and responsibilities of the parish treasurer and to highlight the range of resources available to help you in your vital and valued contributions to your parish ministry.
We are pleased to welcome external workshop presentations from the Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers, CCLA and Data Developments. The Diocesan Accountant, Finance Officer, Head of Resource Development and Stewardship and Parish Support Advisers will provide presentations and workshops on some of the aspects of a treasurers’ role. Topics include, accounts, legislation and information on national initiatives to help parishes manages their funds, commence on projects and encourage churchgoers in the context of giving and generosity.
This event is open to all treasurers and deputy treasurers. There will be time to learn from one another about the mission and ministry in your own parishes so please come prepared to get involved with discussions!
There is no charge for attending the training and a sandwich lunch will be provided to all delegates.
