Edited by Nick Sagovsky and Peter McGrail and published in March 2015 by SCM Press, Together for the Common Good: Towards a National Conversation sets out to stimulate and resource a wider and deeper discussion about the CommonGood. How, the book asks, can a ‘Common Good’ perspective challenge the way we do politics and help us re-imagine our cultural, economic and political life?
This event is being hosted by one of the Winchester University’s newest research centres, Theology and Religion in Public Life (TRiPL). Further information about TRiPL, which will be formally launched in the next academic year, will be available on the night.
Taking part in this event will be contributors to the book and ‘critical friends’ of the process for which the book calls. There will be ample opportunity for discussion and questions from the floor and an opportunity to buy the book itself. The event will be chaired by the Bishop of Winchester, Rt Rev Tim Dakin.
