Centenary special services & events
Saturday 16th September
3.30pm in the church: Debbie Reavell, one of Basingstoke’s local historians, will give a talk about Basingstoke at the time of the building of All Saints, and in particular the life of the churches at that time. Followed by afternoon tea and cakes.
Monday 18th September – Saturday 30th September
The church will be open during the day as much as possible. From 25th September the displays will stay in place as long as possible. We hope to have details of church open times on the church website: www.allsaintsbasingstoke.org.uk
Saturday 23rd September
10.00am – 4.00pm: There will be a festival of “Living Stones…….. Faith and Flowers”: the story of All Saints Past, Present and God’s Future told through flowers.
10.00am onwards: The bell ringers will be attempting a long length peal (lasting 6 hours). Tea and cakes will be served during the day.
Sunday 24th September
3.00pm, the Bishop of Basingstoke will lead a Eucharist of Thanksgiving for the past century of worship and service at All Saints. This will be followed by light refreshments.
Wednesday 27th September
7.00pm, Sung Evensong to commemorate the date of the Dedication of All Saints’ church.
Saturday 30th September
3.30pm – 5.30pm: Messy Church at All Saints’. Fun things to make and do for children and their families.
Sunday 1st October
10.00am Harvest Festival & Thanksgiving
