Launchpads has been set up by the Winchester Social Enterprise of the Diocese of Winchester, to be the Church of England’s Early Years Southern network, working with local communities to deliver excellent early years education, so that children have the very best start in life.
- Does your church run a Pre-school?
- Does an independent Pre-school rent your buildings and rooms?
- Would you like to start a Pre-school?
Launchpads can provide a supportive network for Early Years settings, sharing their expertise so that the Church of England parishes and schools are serving the common good in their communities & positively engaging with children and young families.
Launchpads will be holding an informal discussion evening with Jane Joyce (an experienced Early Years Lecturer at the University of Winchester and now working half time for WSE), and Canon Nick Ralph, WSE’s Director of Social Enterprise and Engagement). This will be held at Old Alresford Place 5-7pm on Thursday 3rd November.
The intention is to listen to the experience of those already involved, and discuss how a potential network might provide resources, support and expertise to your setting whilst supporting the parish to engage positively with children and young families, serving the common good. If you cannot make it but would be interested to know more please do get in touch and let us have your thoughts and comments on this. This event will be of interest to pre-school leaders, Incumbents and PCC members.
Could you please book your free ticket (up to 2 per parish) by 14th October 2016 via Eventbrite:
There will be a light buffet and drinks available during the evening.
If you ahve any further questions regarding this event or the Launchpads scheme please email Jane Joyce:
