St Mary's Church Hall
St Mary’s Church Fordingbridge will see its first Jigsaw Puzzle Festival taking place on Saturday 18th to Monday 20th February.
For the keen puzzler, or the just plain curious, there will be literally hundreds of completed puzzles on display in the Church so that you can browse before buying. Puzzles come in all sizes, shapes and subjects – everything from simple children’s puzzles to really tricky ones with 3000 pieces or more, double-sided ones, shaped ones, 3D ones, and brain teasers, all of which we think are the perfect antidote to TV overload or to help while away the dark winter evenings! There will be more puzzles in the Church Hall opposite, together with light refreshments served all day.
The Festival is on for three days from 10am to 5pm and is ideal for a half term visit! Admission to the Church & Hall is £2 per adult to include a £1 voucher towards a full price puzzle. Accompanied children are free. Keep your ticket and you can have a free return visit! As puzzles are sold different ones are displayed so there is always something new to come back to see on the same or different day.
Many people from all over the area have been making the puzzles up for us and it has become a true community event. Some folk are unable to get out and about, others are in nursing homes, some are just barmy puzzlers!! Profit from the sale of puzzles will not just support our lovely old church in Fordingbridge, but will also help Avonway Community Centre’s Youth Group known as GR8 which relies on voluntary contributions.
So put the date in your diary, and come and see what it’s all about! We look forward to giving you a warm welcome at St Mary’s.
