Are you engaging with your local community? Are they walking in or walking past?
Are you providing your community with what it needs? How can you find out what it needs?
When there’s so much to do just to keep the show on the road – caring for our buildings, complying with church and secular legislation etc, we can sometimes forget to look forward, plan for the future and consider how best to serve and engage with our communities.
If you want to learn more about how to engage with your wider community, drawing on substantial expertise in the charity world, Action Hampshire are hosting a Community Engagement Workshop.
This free workshop will be run by Action Hampshire, and will be led by Kevin Sawers. Kevin’s main role at Action Hampshire is all about supporting the people who run community buildings in Hampshire. These facilities, often the lifeblood of their local community, are generally managed by a committee of volunteers, with only the larger buildings having paid managers or administrators. Kevin aims to help all these people know how to run their building effectively and economically, for the long-term benefit of the community.
